| Description: |
Crystals of Svanbergite and micro Rutile on Quartz crystals. The Svanbergite crystals are tan and disc shaped and reach 2mm in size. Svanbergite is an uncommon Strontium Aluminum Phosphate Sulfate Hydroxide mineral. The Champion Mine is a former andalusite mine located in the White Mountains of eastern California and first operated in 1922. Besides Svanbergite, it is famous for it's Woodhousite specimens, for which it is the Type locality. |
